OVERVIEW
The Assistant Kitchen Manager will maintain operations set forth by the Executive Chef, as well as maintain food quality & disciplinary standards while the Kitchen Manager and Executive Chef are present and when they are not present. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will assist in the management of interdepartmental relationships and will have responsibility in ordering and maintenance of stock in prepared foods ingredients, meat and seafood, as well as applicable retail items. The Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for ensuring that the prepared foods case, grab-and-go, hot bar, meat seafood case, cheese coffin, and retail are properly stocked throughout the day and into the evening. The Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for helping the maintenance of the kitchen back of house and the overseeing of the general operations of the day to day, product and staff. The Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for creating prep lists, cleaning lists and management and education of all kitchen staff, with the collaboration of the Chef. At the discretion of the Chef and Kitchen Manager, the Assistant Kitchen Manager will perform ordering tasks, including receiving and
storage of fresh and dry goods, and contribute to the menu as deemed
appropriate.

$25-$26/hour

-Full-time
-8 hour shifts
-Occasional overtime may be requested, but not required

-Be knowledgeable about upcoming special events
-Build relationships with vendors
-Recognize, acknowledge & communicate errors and potential quality problems
-Assist in keeping dining areas, workspaces and the store neat, clean & sanitary
-Arrive on time for all shifts
-Adhere to dress code standards
-Answer phones
-Assist with deliveries in your department, and in others on occasion
-Handle monetary transactions & sales using our Point of Sale system
-Offer suggestions on how to up the positive energy in the store
