Full Job Description

Position Overview

This is a part-time independent contractor position designed to support content creation and social media execution across multiple clients.

You’ll help bring social media strategies to life through content shoots, video editing, Canva design, scheduling, and organization. As the business grows, this role has a clear path to increased responsibility and higher monthly compensation.

Initial Monthly Compensation

$650/month (flat contractor fee)

Project-based rather than hourly.

Expected workload is up to 18 hours per month once training is complete.

Responsibilities

Attend local client content shoots
Capture high-quality photo and video content using an iPhone
Edit short-form videos
Create graphics in Canva using established brand guidelines
Schedule social media content
Organize content libraries and files
Assist with monthly analytics reports
Follow documented workflows and SOPs
Meet deadlines consistently
Communicate proactively when questions arise

Qualifications

Lives in the Birmingham area
Reliable transportation
Strong attention to detail
Creative eye for social media
Comfortable filming on an iPhone
Experience with Canva
Comfortable learning new software
Organized and dependable
Positive attitude and willingness to receive feedback
Experience with CapCut, Meta Business Suite, Later, or similar scheduling platforms is a plus but not required.

The ideal person is someone who enjoys creating content, takes ownership of assigned tasks, communicates well, and wants to grow professionally. You’ll receive training, documented processes, and ongoing feedback to help you succeed.

Growth Opportunity

This role is intentionally designed to grow as the business grows.

As new clients are added and you become more independent, responsibilities and monthly compensation will increase. The goal is to develop someone who can eventually own much of the production process—from content shoots through scheduling—allowing the business to serve more clients while maintaining a high standard of quality.

This is an opportunity to grow alongside a creative business rather than simply fill a temporary freelance role.

Pay: From $650.00 per month
