INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES (100%)
Prepare new hire orientation packets.
Assist with maintenance of employee files.
Assist with recruitment and benefit related functions.
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
Audit employee files to meet compliance standards.
Assist with Public Safety Promotional Process development and implementation.
Participate and assist with special HR projects.
Must act discretely when working with highly confidential Human Resources information.
Attend HR Department meetings as needed.
Attends job fairs and hiring events.
Other tasks/projects assigned by Human Resources Director.
Undergraduate students and graduate students will be considered.
Strong interest in Human Resources.
Coursework in Human Resources/Organizational Psychology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong communication, organizational, analytical, relationship building.
Attention to detail and teamwork skills required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), ADP HRIS a plus.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently.
Must be well organized and possess good follow-up skills.
Prior office experience preferred.
Pleasant personality with the ability to interact well with other team members.
Must be available for a minimum of twenty (20) hours a week.
