Full Job Description

Susquehanna Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking a Full-time Oral Surgery Assistant to join our busy oral surgery practice. Our goal is to provide care in a comfortable caring and non-threatening environment with patient care being our #1 priority. You will help with preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, and assisting in surgical procedures. Oral surgery assisting experience is a plus and we will train the right candidate to learn the specifics of the office. To do well in this role you should have a strong attention to detail, provide a great level of patient care and be dependable. We have a structured training program that allows you the ability to progress with our company. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures, including extractions, biopsies, and implant placements, ensuring smooth workflow and patient safety.
Prepare treatment rooms with appropriate instruments, supplies, and sterilization protocols following aseptic techniques.
Take dental radiographs (X-ray), including 3D scans and medical imaging, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Manage patient records accurately within our electronic medical record (EMR) ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide chairside assistance by managing vital signs, documentation, and coding as needed for surgical procedures.
Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and answer questions regarding procedures related to oral surgery
Support infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment to uphold safety standards within the dental clinic.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
