Overview
The Project Manager (PM) for Managed Service Delivery (MSD) applies advanced subject‑matter expertise to lead highly complex, multi-tower transitions and deployments across Managed Print Services (MPS). This role ensures seamless planning, execution, and governance of customer programs leveraging HP’s enterprise methodologies, service frameworks, and operational best practices.
HP delivers end-to-end solutions across the full MSD lifecycle—Define, Design, Deploy, Monitor, Manage, and Support phases—ensuring proactive experiences, optimized environments, and measurable business outcomes.
PMs are regarded as organizational leaders who frequently shape new ideas, influence process improvements, and represent HP to senior customer stakeholders. Their primary responsibility is leading the Deploy phase of the MSD lifecycle, ensuring that all aspects of deployment are executed seamlessly and in alignment with HP’s methodologies. They apply independent judgment within broadly defined policies to resolve complex issues involving technical, operational, financial, and organizational elements.
Job Summary
The PM leads the end‑to‑end deployment and transition of managed print environments, ensuring alignment to contractual scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations. They act as the primary customer-facing leader during implementation and drive coordination across all functions to achieve contractual outcomes.
The PM applies advanced project management expertise, drives strategic alignment, and ensures accountability across HP and customer organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Deployment Leadership
Ownership of the Deployment phase for MPS programs, ensuring execution aligns with HP’s Deploy lifecycle.
Coordinate multi-functional, multivendor teams across print fleet management, software, analytics, and monitoring services.
Implement contractual and technical aspects to deploy all Managed Service Delivery towers, ensuring readiness for transition to steady-state.
Oversee the execution of the scope of work, including preparing cost estimates, managing schedules, driving DAIR documentation, and coordinating operational handover plans.
Apply HP methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid), PMP best practices, and HP service lifecycle (Define–Design–Deploy–Manage).
Manage complex portfolios affecting multiple customer divisions and multi-region deployments.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
Represent HP expertise to customers and external partners.
Build and strengthen C‑level and director‑level relationships, providing thought leadership across all service towers.
Represent HP across all services towers, providing thought leadership and consultative guidance.
Act as a trusted advisor guiding customers through strategic changes in their environments.
Program Governance & Risk Management
Develop and manage program governance models, including steering committees, PMO structures, quality controls, DAIR logs, communication plans, and operational handover frameworks.
Ensure contractual compliance across multiple towers, including SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the creation of new methods, templates, and policies.
Financial & Commercial Accountability
Own budgets across multi‑tower programs; track financial performance and forecasting.
Provide accurate forecasting.
Identify incremental cross-service opportunities that drive customer value and HP growth.
Team Leadership
Lead diverse cross-functional teams (often >20 resources), including technical consultants, project coordinators, and external partners.
Mentor and develop project managers and tower leads.
Build productive internal/external working relationships across HP and with partner ecosystems.
Set expectations for delivery excellence and adherence to HP methodologies.
Complexity & Scope
Manage programs with high risk, significant contractual complexity, and multi‑tower dependencies.
Leads projects with aggressive timelines and enterprise-scale business impact.
Participates in cross‑organizational initiatives and drives continuous improvement across Managed Service Delivery.
Required Education & Experience
Four‑year or Graduate Degree in Business, Project Management—or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in project management
Experience deploying tangible assets
Experience managing order placements, site coordination and logistics
Advanced Excel skills
Experience managing external customers
Preferred Certifications
Knowledge & Skills
Expert command of HP Services operational policies, processes, and methodologies.
Deep fluency across Managed Service Delivery principles, including remote monitoring, analytics, and proactive management models.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills.
Ability to resolve complex issues across multiple technical domains.
Skilled in financial governance, contractual compliance, and multi‑tower integration.

Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $77, 500 to $ 107, 808 USD annually with additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
