Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented professionals to join our Multifamily Division. Multiple openings are available, including Programs Technician, Underwriter, Environmental Specialist, and Project & Research Technician.

These roles support the administration and oversight of affordable housing programs, including the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), HOME Investment Partnership Program, Housing Trust Fund, and Multifamily Bond programs. Ideal candidates will have experience in housing programs, real estate, public finance, compliance, or related fields and a strong interest in supporting the development and preservation of affordable housing.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary by position but may include:

Assist in the administration of multifamily housing programs and funding applications
Review, analyze, and process applications, financial data, and supporting documentation for compliance and accuracy
Perform underwriting analyses, environmental reviews, or project tracking, as applicable
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of program policies, procedures, and allocation plans
Conduct due diligence on third-party reports, including appraisals, environmental assessments, and market studies
Coordinate with developers, consultants, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain accurate records, reports, and tracking systems for assigned projects
Participate in site visits, inspections, and project evaluations as needed
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal program requirements and regulations
Assist with special projects, research, and departmental initiatives

(These duties reflect core responsibilities across the posted roles, such as underwriting financial feasibility, environmental compliance monitoring, and project/program administration.)

Qualifications

Experience in affordable housing programs, real estate, finance, accounting, public administration, or a related field preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret and apply federal and state regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment

Education & Experience (varies by position):

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Relevant experience may range from entry-level (technician roles) to more advanced experience in underwriting, housing programs, or commercial real estate

Preferred Backgrounds May Include:

Affordable housing or LIHTC program administration
Commercial real estate lending or underwriting
Environmental compliance or regulatory review
Government or grant program administration
Financial analysis, market analysis, or project management
