Full Job Description

We're looking for a creative, organized, and self-motivated Social Media Manager & Content Creator to help tell the stories of Craft Cart and Backroom through engaging digital content.

This role is perfect for someone who loves creating content, enjoys being at events, and understands how to build community online. You'll be responsible for planning, capturing, editing, and publishing content that showcases everything from Craft Cart's creative experiences to Backroom's curated networking events, founder dinners, and member experiences.

Working directly with the founders, you'll play a key role in growing two emerging lifestyle brands through compelling storytelling and a consistent social media strategy.

Responsibilities

Content Creation

Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content (Instagram Reels, TikToks, Stories, LinkedIn, and short-form video).
Create behind-the-scenes content highlighting Craft Cart activations, Backroom events, founder moments, partnerships, and community experiences.
Produce lifestyle content that reflects each brand's identity while staying on top of current social media trends.

Social Media Management

Develop and manage monthly content calendars for Craft Cart and Backroom.
Schedule and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and help foster an engaged online community.

Event Coverage

Attend Craft Cart activations, Crafted & Poured events, Backroom dinners, networking events, and special experiences throughout the DMV.
Capture real-time event content including venue tours, guest interactions, food and beverage moments, interviews, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes footage.
Coordinate with venue partners and vendors to maximize content opportunities during each event.

Creative Strategy

Brainstorm new content series, campaigns, and social media initiatives.
Identify opportunities to increase audience growth and engagement.
Assist in launching new experiences, partnerships, and community initiatives through creative digital campaigns.

Brand Support

Design promotional graphics, event flyers, social media assets, and marketing materials using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
Organize content libraries and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is:

Passionate about storytelling through social media.
Experienced creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Comfortable shooting and editing content using a smartphone and editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express, or similar platforms.
Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with founders.
Available to attend evening and weekend events throughout the DMV.
Interested in hospitality, lifestyle brands, entrepreneurship, networking, events, or community-building.

Professional experience is welcome, but we're equally excited to meet talented creators with strong portfolios and creative instincts.
