We're looking for a motivated Technology Infrastructure Technician who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and working with a wide variety of business systems. This is not a traditional help desk position—every day brings new challenges, new technologies, and opportunities to grow your skills.
Whether you're troubleshooting a Microsoft 365 issue, installing a UniFi network, deploying security cameras, configuring access control, or supporting one of our fleet technology deployments, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Position Overview
The Technology Infrastructure Technician is responsible for supporting our remaining Managed IT customers while also assisting with the installation, maintenance, and support of the commercial technology solutions Eight.39 provides.
This position works across multiple technology disciplines and requires someone who enjoys both software and hardware, can think critically under pressure, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
Primary Responsibilities Managed IT Support
- Provide remote and onsite technical support for business clients
- Troubleshoot Windows desktop and laptop issues
- Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Configure and deploy new computers and workstations
- Install software and perform system upgrades
- Troubleshoot printer and peripheral issues
- Assist with server administration and maintenance
- Configure user accounts, permissions, and security policies
- Monitor backups and assist with disaster recovery processes
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities
Network Infrastructure
- Configure and deploy routers, switches, and wireless access points
- Install and support UniFi networking equipment
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues
- Perform firmware updates and system maintenance
- Assist with VLAN configuration and network optimization
- Install and terminate low-voltage network cabling when required
Security & Access Control Systems
- Install and configure IP security camera systems
- Troubleshoot camera connectivity and recording issues
- Configure network video recorders and cloud-managed systems
- Install and support electronic access control systems
- Test system functionality and remote connectivity
- Assist with customer training after installations
Internal Technology & Operations
- Support Eight.39's internal technology infrastructure
- Assist with implementation and testing of new technologies
- Help maintain technical documentation and installation standards
- Support company process improvement initiatives
- Assist with internal technology projects and equipment deployment
- Contribute to the continued development of Eight.39's proprietary operations platform, The Flow™
Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of technical support or field technician experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Experience supporting Windows 11 and Windows Server
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
- Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches, and routers
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely use ladders and work in commercial environments

Work Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday – Friday
- Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for scheduled installations or emergency support.
- Local travel throughout the Greater Houston area and occasional travel throughout Texas may be required.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
