Company Overview

Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services was established as a home for children in 1923. It is now one of the state’s premier facilities for therapeutic residential care for youth ages 6 to 21. Our mission is to heal, prepare, and empower children, youth, and families in need.
Summary

We are seeking dedicated Qualified Behavioral Health Providers to join our team at Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services at the Monticello campus. This role is crucial in providing therapeutic support to children and youth facing emotional and behavioral challenges, aligning with our mission of healing and support.

This is a Safety-Sensitive Job for Purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.

Responsibilities

Complete 40 hours QBHP certification training during pre-service and annually thereafter
Attend weekly supervision meetings, either group or individual, and collaborate monthly observation with supervising clinician in order to have skills evaluated and to identify needed improvements.
Receive mandatory direct consultation services and regular feedback from clinical supervisor in further developing skills
Monitor youth behavior and well-being while coaching youth in implementing social, behavioral, coping, education, and independent living skills; provide moral, spiritual, and physical information and guidance, and provide medically necessary services.
Provide behavioral assistance, child and youth support services, and assist with crisis management.
Provide structure as demonstrated by adhering to schedules and providing schedules to team members.
Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
Complete all documentation by assigned deadlines
Attend meetings and staffings, and assist with reports.
Ensure that clients are monitored at all times to maintain appropriate staff-to-client ratio, including during off-campus activities
Attend in-service, training programs, and consultations, implementing the feedback received. Complete all Relias training as scheduled.
Cooperate with other departments to meet program and youth needs, (i.e. Recreation, Admission, etc).
Carry Out Safety, Meal Preparation and Cleaning Procedures as defined in the Direct Care Staff manual
Present with a Positive Attitude and Professionalism
Adhere to the medication administration procedure 100% of the time
Adhere to ALL Company Policies and Procedures
Participate in CQI activities
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Follows all policies and procedures of the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Arkansas Child Welfare Licensing Board, and other board/commissions that the agency relates to professionally
Experience (greater than 2 years) in the behavioral health and/or residential childcare/foster care field
Experience in the not-for-profit sector

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in the field of social work, psychology, nursing, or criminal justice
Experience (greater than 2 years) in the behavioral health and/or residential childcare/foster care field

Other

Demonstrates necessary knowledge and skills to perform the job duties, keeping current with new and best practices
Successfully passes initial and random drug screenings
Basic knowledge of office equipment; ability to produce and maintain records utilizing various software programs as necessary.
Possess a valid driver’s license and meet all criteria set forth in the DHS vehicle safety program.
Day, night, and weekend work as required
Must be over 21 years of age
Successfully pass initial background screening: must be free from convictions outlines in in A.C.A §9-28-409 (e) (A-CC) and be free from substantiated finding of abuse or neglect of children or the elderly.
