Essential Functions

Work with the CFO to execute the Bank’s mission and strategic plan

Supervise Financial Operations department
-
Recruit, train and coach Financial Operations staff. Hold the staff accountable for goal achievement, bank success and compliance. This includes overseeing departments provide appropriate and relevant reports to monitor objective achievement

Prepare monthly financial statements and reports

Interpret operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the Bank

Ensure the correct and accurate accounting classification of all income and expenditures
-
Maintain company accounts; assign new account classifications as required and/or necessary

Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for regulatory agencies
-
Provide advice and counsel to management regarding the Bank’s major financial objectives and management fiscal policies

Keep current on accounting and regulatory rules

Support CFO in cost control measures and profit improvements
-
Assist CFO in finance and accounting related special projects
-
Gather data, prepare reports and/or work papers needed for audits, regulatory examinations and various reporting requirements

Record security transactions and maintain security portfolio files.

Oversee accounts payable process, trust department accounting and overdraft program performance

Maintain shareholder records and prepare dividends

Record and balance account and trust transactions

Assist Trust Officer in trust department accounting, reporting and monitoring accounts

Manage accruals, prepaids and fixed assets

Serve on Risk committee and other committees as necessary or warranted

Maintain a community presence

Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises the Financial Operations Manager, Accounting & Trust Specialist, Accounting & ODP Specialist and oversees Financial Operations Team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This position travels by vehicle in the Alliance Bank footprint and surrounding areas.
This job operates in a clerical office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment. This position requires manual dexterity and the ability to lift, bend, or stand as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Full-time employee must work 38-40 hours per week average to maintain full-time status.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related field preferred

Three years’ experience in accounting and finance required

What You'll Do
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Partner with the CFO to support the Bank's mission, strategic goals, and long-term growth.
- Lead and develop the Accounting team through coaching, accountability, and professional development.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure accurate accounting practices and financial reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable, accruals, fixed assets, and accounting controls.
- Coordinate audits, regulatory reporting, and examination support.
- Manage shareholder record accuracy and distribution processes.
- Support investment accounting and security portfolio recordkeeping.
- Participate in Risk Committee and other leadership initiatives.
- Help drive continuous improvement through EOS® (Entrepreneurial Operating System), ensuring accountability, communication, and alignment across the organization.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
