Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC machine programs to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. This role is integral to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity in a dynamic machining environment. The ideal applicant will possess extensive knowledge of CNC programming, machining processes, and engineering CAD/CAM software, contributing to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Job Requirements:

Must have 5 years experience with Swiss Machining
Must be able to program and set up Swiss Machines
Must be able to select cutting tools, review prints, write programming, create process tooling, set up, prove out work and run first qualification testing > If they cannot do all of these things, don’t send them.
Experience with ISO 13485 standards are desirable but not mandatory

Job Description/Duties:

Interpret print and models, create CNC programs and set up machines to produce the component for Swiss or Milling machine centers
Select cutting tools that will achieve cost effective tool life and fully utilize the tool
Develop a process that is capable, cost effective and sustainable
Write work instructions and procedures to support the process
Full understanding of G-code
Advocate and implement the highest quality standards and LEAN principles
Assess and communicate technical specifications to all departments
Identify and complete continuous improvement projects
Cycle time reduction
Perishable tooling selection and cost reduction
Create and coordinate engineering tests
Perform quality assurance tests to ensure specification compliance
Assist/or develop in the development of tool design and CNC programming
Modify through change control, BOM/BOO within the ERP system
Assist with all costing and quoting functions – for tooling
Resolve daily manufacturing issues per LEAN structure

Maintain machining and secondary operational processes
