Optometric Technician
Complete Eye Care of Medina – Medina, MN

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, patient-focused Optometric Technician to join our growing team. This is a full-time, in-person role (38–40 hours per week) where you will work directly with patients, assist our doctors with clinical testing, and support our clinic’s daily flow. No optometry experience? That’s okay — we provide comprehensive training. If you enjoy learning new skills, working in a team environment, and making a positive impact on patients’ lives, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

Patient Care & Testing

· Greet and prepare patients for exams

· Perform clinical workups, including but not limited to: auto-refraction, lensometry, tonometry, visual fields, muscle testing, pupil exams, Meibomian gland imaging, fundus photos, scans and Neurolens.

· Assist with specialty care: Myopia management, Dry Eye Services and Vision Therapy

· Accurately document patient history and test results in charts

· Communicate clearly with patients about procedures, follow-ups, and care instructions

Clinic Support

· Manage and organize contact lens and specialty lens inventory

· Maintain stock in exam and pre-test rooms

· Care for and calibrate diagnostic equipment (opening and closing duties)

· Return patient and pharmacy calls in a timely manner

· Assist with front desk or optical duties as training progresses

Team & Service Excellence

· Support doctors and colleagues to ensure smooth patient flow

· Respond to work communications and tasks daily

· Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism in a fast-paced environment

· Uphold clinic protocols, HIPAA standards, and patient confidentiality

· Contribute to a positive, respectful, and patient-centered team culture

What We’re Looking For

· Strong communication and listening skills

· Friendly, professional, and patient-first attitude

· Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt to change

· Reliable attendance and punctuality

· Comfort with Windows-based software (MS Office) and basic computer skills — training provided for industry systems

Compensation & Benefits

· Pay range: $20–$22 per hour

· Full-time schedule: 38–40 hours per week, in person
