We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate leader to join our Life New Business leadership team. This leadership position is responsible for leading and developing the Case Managers while driving strong operational performance and delivering exceptional service to our customers and distribution partners, responsible for individual business within Annuity Life New Business.
The Manager, New Business oversees production across multiple locations/sites, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong operational expertise, financial acumen, comfortable navigating complexity, using data to make informed decisions, coaching skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.
This position currently offers an onsite work schedule, with the expectation that you will be in the office four (4) days per week during onsite core days. Our current onsite core days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The work schedule type and core days are subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Case Managers across multiple site locations.
- Develop and implement team goals aligned with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Develop a deep understanding of how the business works and flows through the NLG ecosystem.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities with a forward focused approach—building for the long-term success of the team and Company.
- Foster a culture aligned with National Life values.
- Oversee production activities while maintaining high quality customer service, quality, and compliance standards.
- Optimize workflows and implement process improvements.
- Monitor productivity and quality through audits and reporting.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
- Collaborate with underwriting leadership on business needs, issue resolution, and opportunities for improved process and outcomes.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with field leadership to understand business needs, communicate priorities, and support service delivery.
- Provide production updates and strategic insights to leadership.
- Respond to escalated customer and agent inquiries.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives that support strategic objectives, operational improvements, and business priorities.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Life, Annuity Operations, Financial Services, or related fields.
- Strong leadership, change management, financial acumen, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Experience leading multi-site operations.
- Experience implementing operational improvements.
- Advanced knowledge of annuity life new business operations.
- Experience using operational data, performance metrics, and business insights to identify trends and drive improvements.
