Full Job Description

e are seeking a dependable and motivated IT Technician to provide in-person, on-site technical support across multiple McDonald's restaurant locations. This is a field-based role that requires regular travel between stores, hands-on troubleshooting, installations, and direct interaction with store teams.

The ideal candidate is self-driven, professional, responsive, and comfortable working independently in active restaurant environments.

Key Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support for restaurant technology systems
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Install, replace, and upgrade equipment including:
POS systems and registers
Kiosks and peripherals
TVs, monitors, tablets, and printers
Network equipment
Run, diagnose, secure, and organize cabling as needed
Communicate clearly with store managers and central IT team
Document work accurately using tickets, notes, and photos when required
Follow company procedures, escalation paths, and response timelines
Travel between assigned locations to provide timely support
Maintain professionalism while working in fast-paced restaurant environments

Expectations

Must be highly responsive and dependable
Ability to answer phone calls and respond to support requests promptly, including during urgent situations
Strong sense of ownership and accountability for assigned stores
Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure minimal downtime for restaurant operations

Required Qualifications

Basic to intermediate IT troubleshooting experience
Hands-on experience with hardware, installations, or technical field work
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills with non-technical users
Reliable personal transportation is required
(This role involves regular travel between locations for on-site support)
Willingness to work flexible hours when needed, including occasional on-call weekends
Ability to lift, carry, and install equipment up to 50 lbsPhysical Requirements
Ability to safely climb ladders to diagnose or install cabling and equipment
Ability to perform physical installation work such as mounting TVs and registers
Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods
Comfortable working in active restaurant environments

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Familiarity with POS systems (NCR, PAR, or similar)
Basic networking knowledge (LAN, Wi-Fi, cabling)
Experience with surveillance systems or access points
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, or ticketing systems
