About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Application Support Engineer to join our technology team. This position provides a unique opportunity to build a broad technical skillset across Quality Assurance (QA), Technical Support, Technical Writing, DevOps, and Software Development.
You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and supportability of our software applications by testing new features, assisting customers, documenting systems and processes, supporting software deployments, and implementing small software enhancements.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career technology professional who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and working across multiple areas of software engineering.
Quality Assurance (40%)
Execute manual testing of new features, bug fixes, and application releases.
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and regression test suites.
Validate software releases before production deployment.
Document software defects with clear reproduction steps and expected results.
Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Work closely with developers to identify root causes of issues.
Assist with developing and maintaining automated tests where appropriate.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve software quality and testing processes.
Tier 1 Technical Support (25%)
Respond to customer and internal technical support requests.
Troubleshoot application, database, and API issues.
Investigate production issues using application logs and SQL queries.
Document incidents, resolutions, and workarounds.
Escalate complex issues to engineering with detailed technical findings.
Maintain and improve internal knowledge base articles.
Assist with issue triage and prioritization.
Technical Writing (15%)
Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, knowledge base articles, SOPs, API documentation, and release notes.
Improve documentation based on customer feedback and recurring support issues.
Ensure documentation remains accurate as the platform evolves.
DevOps / Jenkins (10%)
Monitor Jenkins build pipelines.
Assist with software deployments.
Troubleshoot build and deployment failures.
Support release validation activities.
Assist in improving CI/CD processes and deployment automation.
Verify successful deployments across environments.
Software Development (10%)
Implement small bug fixes and minor application enhancements under the guidance of senior developers.
Write and modify Java code for maintenance tasks and defect resolution.
Develop and optimize SQL queries for troubleshooting, reporting, and application improvements.
Write and maintain unit tests.
Participate in code reviews.
Contribute to internal tools, automation, and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
0–3 years of experience in software development, QA, technical support, or a related technical role.
Basic knowledge of Java.
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Passion for learning new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, SQL Server or MySQL, Jenkins, Git/GitHub, Jira, Postman, REST APIs, Linux, Docker, JSON/XML, software testing methodologies, automated testing frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Within your first year, you'll be able to independently execute regression and release testing, resolve common Tier 1 application support issues, write SQL queries to troubleshoot production issues, maintain technical documentation, support Jenkins deployments, implement small software enhancements, and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, operations, and support teams.
