Full Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Staff Accountant for our Scranton location to provide assistance with fiscal related duties in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: (pursuant to assignment)

Prepare journal entries in QuickBooks;
Assist with budget preparation;
Review accounts receivable and accounts payable in QuickBooks and NetSuite;
Perform month end QuickBooks report reviews;
Review specific general ledger accounts monthly within NetSuite;
Review posting of billing with contract sources;
Assist with review of bank and credit card reconciliations; and
Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Commitment to the Alliance mission and values;
Strong organizational skills;
Ability to meet timelines; and
Good communication skills.

Educational/Professional Preferences:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting;
Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, and the Microsoft Office Suite;
Experience with accruals and deferrals;
Experience with budgeting and financial reporting;
Experience with reviewing financial reports;
General Ledger experience;
Minimum of 5 years working experience; and
Knowledge of developmental disabilities and/or mental health services.
