Full Job Description

You became a Physical Therapist Assistant to help people move better, recover with confidence, and return to the activities that matter most to them.

At ElmTree Physical Therapy in Hawley, PA, you will have the time, support, and flexibility to do that work well.

We are a therapist-owned outpatient Physical Therapy practice built around quality care, strong patient relationships, and clinicians who are trusted to use their skills.

You will work closely with experienced Physical Therapists, treat a manageable caseload of approximately 45 patients per 40-hour week, and have the flexibility to choose a 4 or 5-day workweek with no weekends or holidays.

What Your Day Will Look Like

You will work closely with our Physical Therapists to provide skilled treatment for patients with a variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.

Your role will include:

Providing treatment based on established Physical Therapy plans of care
Guiding patients through therapeutic exercise and functional activities
Helping patients improve strength, mobility, balance, and function
Using hands-on and manual therapy techniques when appropriate
Monitoring patient response and progress throughout treatment
Communicating important changes and observations with the supervising Physical Therapist
Educating patients on exercises, movement, and their rehabilitation plan
Encouraging and motivating patients throughout their recovery
Completing accurate and timely documentation
Collaborating with Physical Therapists and the rest of the clinical team
Helping create a positive and welcoming patient experience

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who enjoys working directly with patients and wants to be part of a collaborative outpatient Physical Therapy team.

You should have:

Physical Therapist Assistant licensure in Pennsylvania, or eligibility to obtain Pennsylvania licensure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine interest in helping patients reach meaningful goals
A team-oriented and positive approach
A commitment to continued learning and professional development
The ability to build trust and strong relationships with patients
An interest in providing thoughtful, individualized Physical Therapy care

Manual therapy experience is preferred, but not required.
