We are looking for Driver / Dock Worker with a CDL Driver's License on the first shift! This energetic role combines professional truck driving with hands-on dock work, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of freight. You’ll be a vital part of our operations, responsible for transporting goods using various types of trailers and trucks. Your expertise in commercial driving and load handling will help keep our production line moving smoothly while maintaining the highest safety standards. Key Accountabilities (results expected to achieve):
Delivering Finished Goods and Raw Goods between IPI sites in accordance with MNDOT regulations and company policy to meet or exceed company goals for safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities (tasks that you do to achieve the accountabilities):
- Ensures company standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded.
- Responsible for the transportation of materials between the building locations.
- Sort returnable packaging and label correctly.
- Verify workbook to ensure correct quantities and the types of packaging are correct.
- Perform all required Dot inspections before using equipment.
- Move returnable packaging to the staging area.
- Reports inventory errors to Warehouse Lead or Inventory controller.
- Loads and unloads trucks as needed.
- Inspect shipments for damage when unloading or loading and report to Warehouse Lead.
- Locates raw material and components in proper location.
- Prepares supplies (boxes, packaging, etc.) for production and puts them on truck.
- Assists with inventory counts.
- Cleans and organizes work environment to comply with 5S and safety standards.
- Keeps all shelves and shipping and receiving area clean.
- Operates Forklift.
- Inspect all powered vehicles per check sheets. Report any damage or issues to supervisor/lead for MSO to be turned in.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualities for Success:
- Must have or be able to attain a current, valid Class A Commercial Driver’s license.
- Must have or be able to attain a valid DOT medical card.
- 2+ years related experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have basic English language comprehension and reading skills.
- Must have basic computer skills and be proficient working with Microsoft products (Excel and Word)
- Able to identify different material and non-conforming parts.
- Problem solver: able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary; sense of accountability and sound professional judgement.
- Experience managing projects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and able to work with others.
- Able to work overtime hours according to business need.
- Able to multi-task and work in a moderate to fast paced environment.
- Pays close attention to details and follows directions.
- Dedicated to safe practices.
- Forklift certification (or ability to receive certificate with company).
Physical & Mental Demands:
- Able to lift 55 lbs. up to shoulder height daily on an on-going basis without assistance.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. above head occasionally.
- Push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basis.
- Grip and hold parts and hand tools continuously (8 hours).
- Use miscellaneous hand tools including manual, pneumatic, and powered.
- Ability to work with small parts down to a bolt size of ¼” in diameter.
- Good hand and wrist dexterity.
- Visually inspect all parts.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Respond to sound and light.
- Ascend/descend ladder of up to 5 feet frequently.

Work Environment:
This position is required to conduct business on the manufacturing floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
