Full Job Description

Brock Air Products is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with both retail customers and HVAC contractors, helping them find the right HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies for their needs.

The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about HVAC products, enjoys working with customers, and has a strong sales mindset. Previous HVAC industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong customer service, sales, and mechanical aptitude.

Compensation

Base Pay
Commission: Competitive commission based on sales performance

What You’ll Do

Serve as the first point of contact for customers visiting the Brock Air Products counter.
Assist both HVAC contractors and retail customers with equipment, parts, and product selection.
Build strong relationships with contractors and repeat customers.
Answer customer questions and provide knowledgeable product recommendations.
Prepare quotes, process orders, and accurately enter sales into our system.
Receive, organize, and stock HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies.
Pull and stage customer orders for pickup or delivery.
Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Work with the warehouse and other team members to ensure orders are accurate and ready when promised.
Help maintain an organized, clean, and professional showroom and counter area.
Identify opportunities to increase sales through product knowledge, add-on sales, and exceptional customer service.
Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, inventory, pricing, and cash handling.

What We’re Looking For

Previous HVAC industry experience preferred.
Counter sales, inside sales, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Comfortable working with both homeowners and professional HVAC contractors.
Ability to learn HVAC equipment, parts, and applications.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory and sales systems.
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Ability to safely lift and move HVAC equipment and materials.
Sales-minded with a desire to help customers and grow the business.

The ideal Counter Sales Representative is someone who knows how to take care of customers, enjoys selling, and is willing to learn. You should be comfortable picking up the phone, helping a contractor find the right part, explaining equipment options to a homeowner, and working with your team to get the customer what they need.

Knowledge of HVAC equipment, parts, tools, and applications is a major plus.
