Overview:
In support of Materials, Warehouse, and Production operations, the Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, staging, storing, and supplying materials to support production schedules and customer requirements. This role helps maintain accurate inventory, organized material flow, proper labeling, and timely delivery of components, finished goods, and packaging while following established safety, quality, and 5S expectations.
Responsibilities:
· Follow all safety requirements and established procedures, including forklift safety, pedestrian awareness, PPE, 5S, material handling practices, and required work instructions.
· Safely operate powered industrial equipment, such as forklifts or other approved material handling equipment, after required training and certification.
· Move raw materials, components, work-in-process, packaging, finished goods, and other supplies to designated locations throughout the plant and warehouse.
· Supply production areas with the correct materials, containers, packaging, and components needed to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
· Stage finished goods, customer shipments, inter-company shipments, and service materials according to established requirements, routes, labels, and shipping priorities.
· Use scanners, RF guns, computer systems, labels, WIP maps, drop zones, and warehouse locations to accurately track, store, and move inventory.
· Inspect materials, containers, labels, and packaging for accuracy, damage, or quality concerns and escalate issues through the appropriate channels.
· Support receiving from production, inventory control, cycle count activities, and proper storage of materials in assigned warehouse or production locations.
· Maintain accurate documentation and system transactions related to material movement, staging, inventory, and production support activities.
· Communicate effectively with production, shipping, receiving, quality, materials, and leadership teams to support safe, accurate, and efficient material flow.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Qualifications for this role include:
· High school diploma or GED preferred.
· Previous manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
· Forklift experience or ability to become certified in forklift operation and propane exchange as required.
· Ability to use RF scanners, label printers, computer systems, WIP maps, drop zones, and warehouse locations to support accurate material movement.
· Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, labels, schedules, and production or shipping requirements.
· Basic math skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate counts, labels, locations, and inventory transactions.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position require the ability to safely move throughout production and warehouse areas while handling materials, supplies, containers, and equipment as needed.
· Frequently: Stand, walk, bend, reach, use hands for handling materials, operate material handling equipment, and communicate with team members in production and warehouse areas.
· Occasionally: Climb on and off equipment, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, or work in varying production and warehouse conditions.
· Vision: Possess close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus while operating equipment, reading labels, and identifying material locations.
· Lifting: Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and containers up to 50 pounds as needed, using safe lifting practices and approved equipment.

Work environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position works in production and warehouse areas where material movement, powered industrial equipment, staging, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities occur. Working conditions in some areas require that personal protective equipment be worn including but not limited to steel toed shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, ring and watch covers, belt buckle covers, and gloves. All employees of RESRG are expected to comply with the safety policies.
The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, powered industrial equipment, production traffic, fumes or airborne particles, wet or humid conditions, vibration, and varying temperatures depending on the work area supported.
Noise levels are moderate.
The employee will need to wear required personal protective equipment relevant to the work area, including but not limited to safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, safety vest, gloves, and other area-specific PPE.
