That Fonta Flora Overview
Located on the banks of beautiful Lake James and under the backdrop of the rugged Linville Gorge, we are an Appalachian farmhouse brewery situated on 15 acres of a historic dairy farm. Fonta Flora’s mission is to highlight the biodiversity and bounty of North Carolina agriculture through an endless array of contemplative libations. At Fonta Flora, we celebrate this concept by harnessing impactful relationships that contribute to localized agricultural economics. From these intentional partnerships, we build our community by helping to sustain our local food systems and the people responsible for its success. This meaningful business model provides synergistic opportunities through collaboration and empowers us to continue pushing the boundaries of what it means to create beverages with a sense of place and agricultural purpose.
We are currently seeking a part-time Bartender to serve our delicious beverages, share the story of Fonta Flora and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Job Purpose
Our tasting rooms are a key part of our success as a company because they act as the space to showcase our beer, history, culture, and brand with visitors and regular guests alike. Our bar staff act as brand ambassadors when working in the taproom and should be knowledgeable about craft beer, our brand, while remaining attentive and focused to provide the best possible experience for guests. We hope to cultivate community through sharing meaningful experiences and an inclusive environment within our spaces.
To be a successful bartender at Fonta Flora, one must work with the Front of House team to ensure that our guests receive warm, welcoming, prompt and seamless service in a fast-paced environment. Our bartenders practice proper pouring, take part in cleaning, setting up and breaking down the bar, maintaining and stocking clean glassware, stocking retail products, changing kegs, and taking on other duties as assigned by the Taproom Manager to ensure that the taproom operates smoothly.
Prior craft beer bartending experience is a plus, but not a requirement. What is a requirement is a passion for learning about craft beer, enjoying working as part of a team, being efficient, reliable, trustworthy, and perceptive with excellent communication and time-management skills.
