Full Job Description

Job Summary

VX Aerospace Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Engineer to join our UAV manufacturing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to contribute to the design, development, testing, and production of advanced unmanned aerial systems. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to support the development and production of Group 2 and Group 3 composite UAV platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Support the design, development, and manufacturing of UAV systems and components.

· Assist in creating and maintaining engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

· Participate in tooling development, prototype assembly, testing, and validation activities.

· Prepare engineering reports and recommendations.

· Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve product quality, reliability, and production efficiency.

· Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of Manufacturing and design processes

· Assist with configuration management and documentation control processes.

· Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

· Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

· Support flight test preparations, data collection, and post-flight analysis when required.

· Maintain accurate records of engineering activities and project progress.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

· A willingness to get dirty doing hands-on training in a composite manufacturing environment

· Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and problem-solving techniques.

· Basic knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar tools.

· Familiarity with technical drawings, engineering documentation, and manufacturing processes.

· Strong analytical and organizational skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

· Internship, co-op, or academic project experience related to aerospace, robotics, UAVs, manufacturing, or autonomous systems.

· Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
