Full Job Description

Molded Fiber Glass Company / North Carolina, proudly an ESOP company, is the leader in manufacturing composite products used in Heavy Trucks, Automotive, Bath ware, and many more.

We are seeking a 1st shift and 2nd shift supervisor. The right individual will possess self-discipline, eagerness to learn, and enthusiasm to drive his team to success.

Position Type: Salary Exempt

1st Shift Hours 6:00 AM to 04:00 PM Monday Through Thursday

2nd Shift Hours 4:00 PM to 02:00 AM Monday Through Thursday

Job Summary (Primary Function)

Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers in the Assembly Department. Oversees the completion of the finished product while ensuring safe, efficient operations. Has the ability to troubleshoot equipment.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Assembly Manager.

Job Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

1. Inspects product to verify conformance to specifications; directs setup and adjustments of machines.

2. Follows processes and abides by strict quality standards.

3. Mechanically oriented to troubleshoot machinery.

4. Analyzes production schedules to estimate personnel requirements.

5. Interprets Company policy and enforces safety regulations.

6. Interprets job specifications and job orders to employees; assigns duties.

7. Adjusts work procedures in order to meet production schedules; makes recommendations for improving the efficiency of the production process.

8. Analyzes and resolves work problems.

9. Troubleshoots equipment as needed.

9. Initiates or suggests methods to motivate employees.

10. Produces hours report and various production reports.

11. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.

12. Confers with other management to coordinate activities of individual departments.

Job Requirements (Qualification Factors: Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Ability)

1. SKILL

Education/Trade Knowledge –

· High School diploma or GED required; A.A.S. Degree or equivalent preferred.

· Minimum of two years related work experience required.

· Bilingual: Spanish preferred.

- Strong Mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Experience -

· This position requires a minimum of six months’ training to become proficient in all phases of the job.

Independent Action and Judgment –

· Problem solving skills and analytical ability are necessary to implement instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format.

· Discretionary judgment required.

· Interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

2. EFFORT

Physical Demand –

· Physical demands vary considerably depending on the function being performed.

· Ability to move about among departments is necessary 75% of the time.

· Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and crouching activities are necessary.

Mental and/or Visual Demand –

· Continuous mental and visual attention are needed while carrying out all duties of this position.

Responsibilities –

· Responsible for own work, and that of subordinates.

· Coordinates extensively with coworkers.

3. WORKING CONDITIONS

· Frequent exposure to a normal industrial environment.
