Essential knowledge, skills and abilities:

This position has the responsibility for quality food production, cleanliness and customer service to meet the needs of a diverse population of University of Minnesota Morris students, faculty, staff, visitors, and friends in Dining Services or Turtle Mountain Café.
This position is represented by the Teamsters Local 320 bargaining unit and dues or fair share reductions will be made. According to article 2.1 of the Teamster/University bargaining agreement, employees will work more than 67 days in a year, or more than 14 hours/week (35% time).
The Promotional Priority Period for current Teamster applicants: August 7, 2026 - August 14, 2026.
Work Environment: In-person at the University of Minnesota - Morris campus.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, routing weekends
Times will vary between 6:00 am and 8:30 pm

Employees in Dining Services are University of Minnesota employees, supervised by Sodexo management staff, UMM’s contracted food service management company, and are governed by the Teamsters and University bargaining unit agreement.
Job duties:
Prepare, process and help serve high quality foods at Turtle Mountain Café and the Dining Hall (20%)
Maintain quality and cleanliness standards (80%)
Supervision:
Positions in this classification receive supervision from senior food operations personnel. These positions are typically non-supervisory in nature. This position reports to the UMM Dining Services General Manager and their management team. The General Manager is a part of Sodexo management staff, UMM’s contracted food service management company.
