Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager / Sommelier to lead daily operations while overseeing and elevating our wine program. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who is equally comfortable managing the floor, coaching a team, and guiding guests through a well-curated wine list with confidence and warmth.
You will play a key leadership role in maintaining service standards, driving revenue, supporting staff development, and delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth, efficient service
- Lead, train, and mentor FOH team members
- Manage scheduling, labor costs, and service standards
- Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction and resolve guest concerns professionally
- Collaborate with management and culinary team on service flow and guest experience
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations
- Curate and maintain an evolving wine list aligned with the restaurant’s concept
- Manage wine inventory, ordering, pricing, and vendor relationships
- Monitor cost control, margins, and beverage profitability
- Lead staff wine education and training sessions
- Develop wine-focused events, tastings, and promotional initiatives
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume or fine dining setting
- Strong wine knowledge required; WSET, CMS, or equivalent certification preferred
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong understanding of P&L, cost controls, and beverage program management
- Excellent communication and guest-relations skills
- Passion for hospitality, wine, and team development
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
