Part-Time Technology Foundations Instructor
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Morristown is accepting applications for a temporary, part-time Technology Foundations Instructor. This position provides Technology Foundations/Learning Support instruction designed to prepare students for success in technical college programs and strengthen career success in the chosen field of study.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field from an accredited college or university
· Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience preferred
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer technology
· Strong organizational, mathematical, language, and writing skills
· Ability to develop curriculum and instructional materials that support adult learners
· Willingness to participate in professional development activities
· Ability to teach applied mathematics, reading comprehension, introductory algebra, geometry, trigonometry, blueprint reading, and interpret workplace documents, diagrams, charts, and graphs
· Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population
· Knowledge of WIN Learning, WorkKeys, National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC), or similar learning support platforms is preferred
General Duties
· Develop, coordinate, and deliver Technology Foundations/Learning Support instruction in accordance with Tennessee Board of Regents policy and institutional procedures
· Provide instruction in applied mathematics, graphic literacy, reading for information, and other foundational academic skills that support student success
· Guide students with identified academic deficiencies through WIN Learning and other instructional resources while monitoring and documenting progress
· Assess student skill levels and assist with appropriate placement, intervention, and academic support
· Assist in administering certification assessments and support students in earning industry-recognized credentials
· Collaborate with instructional faculty and Student Services staff to promote student persistence, program completion, and career readiness
· Maintain accurate student records and required documentation
· Perform other duties as assigned
SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications, experience, education, and in accordance with the guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
