About the role
SystemsAccountants is working with a global manufacturer to find an Essbase / EPM Engineer. The role sits within the regional Business Solutions team and owns the Essbase environment that consolidates data from JD Edwards and feeds into OneStream, supporting month end close and forecasting for the finance organization.
This is a role for someone who wants to own an Essbase environment end to end, from administration through to driving integration improvements, while working closely with finance to solve real month end close problems. There is a clear path to broaden into JD Edwards over time as the current owner of that system moves toward retirement.
What you will be doing
Administering the Essbase environment, including creating and modifying dimensions, members, and databases
Provisioning user roles and access, and maintaining security across the application
Monitoring system performance and tuning Essbase applications for speed and reliability
Improving integrations between JD Edwards and Essbase to reduce the time it takes to get data updated during month end close
Supporting the consolidation of JD Edwards data into OneStream accounts through Essbase, including the load process into OneStream
Supporting Smart View for finance analysis and reporting
Providing user support and troubleshooting for a user base of around 100
Participating in SOX and internal audit reviews, including planning, risk assessment, documentation, and testing
What we are looking for
Three to five years managing an Essbase instance for a large organization
General knowledge of financial systems, with knowledge of JD Edwards preferred
Understanding of month end close and forecasting processes
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex data and system issues
Effective communication skills to work directly with finance stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in a technical field
Nice to have
Working knowledge of SQL
Familiarity with Python or reporting tools
