PROGRAM DIRECTOR - JOB DESCRIPTION
WORK HOURS:
General working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (hours subject to change and may require occasional overtime)
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE:
*Must be at least 21 years old.
*Education - Bachelor's degree in Human Service Delivery or a related system.
*Experience - Minimum of three (3) years in a human service delivery-related system or comparable program, with a least one (1) year in a management capacity.
*Must demonstrate the ability to provide staff training, supervision, and planning.
*Possess a valid Driver's License (DL) - in the state of hire, and excellent driving record.
*Have use of a safe automobile, valid vehicle registration, valid auto insurance in force as required by state law. (name must be listed on the vehicle insurance policy) and a clean Department of Motor
Vehicles (DMV) record required.
*Possess strong interviewing skills.
*Ability to be flexible.
*Possess an interest and familiarity with the program participant's choices and needs.
*Pass a LiveScan criminal and background investigation.
*Pass a health screening and TB test.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day adult day program operation.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Develops and implements activity schedules with guidance from CEO/President as needed.
*Supervises all staff to ensure plans and schedules are implemented, ensures participant's rights.
*Conducts site checks both on and off-site, if applicable.
*Maintains and monitors professional relationships with participants and employees and all licensing and providers.
*Ensures that community integration hours are met within the service office.
*Maintains and updates resource and curriculum guides.
*Conducts staff development and training plans, manages, coordinates, and evaluates staff efforts to

achieve program, organization, and client outcomes.
*Provides crisis management assistance to staff, develops paid and volunteer opportunities for participants.
*Conducts a monthly inventory, orders monthly supplies, creates monthly snack calendar, supports, and assists the CEO/President in achieving the goals of the service office.
*Maintains and audits participant's files monthly or as needed.
*Conducts auto safety checks, responsible for transport vehicle inventory and supplies, prepares new employee notebooks, answers phones, and creates various reports and documents (typed and/or written).
*Conducts facility tours and program promotion presentations, creating and managing program accounts/ budget (as needed), monitoring supervised personnel attendance, managing time-off requests, scheduling daily activities, staff performance reviews, submitting end-of-month reports to the CEO/President, and keeping licensing forms updated.
*Performs other job duties as defined by the CEO/President and or CEA.
SKILLS:
*Excellent grammar and spelling skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Must be computer literate and able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute, have knowledge and experience in creating/managing documents using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
A skills assessment test will be administered during the interview process.
*Initiative and Teaming skills
Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish
SUPERVISION RELATIONSHIPS:
Supervised by: CEO/President/Founder and the Chief Executive Administrator (CEA)
Supervises: Assistant Director, Floor Supervisor, Support Staff, Transportation Vehicle Drivers
NOTES:
*Management retains the discretion to add or modify the duties of this position at any time.
*Applicant MUST pass a skill assessment test, which will include situational scenarios.
*A background check will be conducted along with a drug screening prior to employment.
*TRAINING FOR THIS POSITION WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE LOL-LIFE OF LIBERTY FACILITY IN OCEANSIDE, CA.
The duration of training will be between 25-30 days. The company-paid expense includes travel, lodging, food per diem.
