Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join an outpatient orthopedic team. In this role, you'll evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity, orthopedic, post-surgical, and musculoskeletal conditions, helping them regain independence and return to work, daily activities, and the hobbies they enjoy.
Assignment Details

- Shift: Days
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and functional limitations
- Treat orthopedic, upper extremity, hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, and post-surgical conditions
- Implement therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy, functional training, and activity modification strategies
- Fabricate and fit custom splints and orthotics as needed
- Educate patients on injury prevention, ergonomics, joint protection, and home exercise programs
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and support staff to coordinate patient care
- Meet clinic productivity and quality standards
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain Florida licensure)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
