Full Job Description

Job Overview
An opportunity to get your foot into the Aesthetic Industry. The Body Bar MD located on Rt40 in Ellicott City is seeking a motivated and passionate RN.

As an entry level Assistant Aesthetic Nurse, you will train and subsequently deliver exceptional HydroFacials, Chemical Peels, Dermaplanning, Laser Hair Removal, PRP, Mesotherapy, Toxin for Wrinkles, Derma Fillers and RF Microneedling and SkinPen treatments on world class machines such as Candela Gentle Max Pro Plus and InMode Optimus Max.

You will have the opportunity to grow into the role as a full time Aesthetic Nurse. In the meantime you will work to ensure safe, effective, and personalized treatments while maintaining high standards of professionalism and compassion. 20 hours of paid training is required and will be provided to the qualified candidate.

Responsibilities

Assist during various cosmetic procedures Chemical Peels, Derma Facials, Laser Hair Removal, Skin Rejuvination (Laser and RF), PRP, Botox, Microneedling (Derma and RF).
Prepare treatment areas by sterilizing equipment, setting up supplies, and ensuring a clean environment in compliance with health regulations.
Support patient intake processes by collecting medical histories, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions with clarity and empathy.
Monitor vital signs and observe patient responses throughout treatments to ensure safety and comfort.
Maintain accurate documentation of treatments performed, including detailed notes on procedures, medications administered, and patient reactions using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions, skincare routines, and potential side effects and contra-indications to promote optimal results.
Uphold strict adherence to medical safety protocols , medication administration guidelines, and infection control standards.

Qualifications

Prior experience or training in Aesthetics, Dermatology or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to aesthetic procedures.
Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate record keeping and ICD coding for documentation purposes.
Certification in basic life support (BLS) required; additional certifications in X-ray imaging or emergency medicine are a plus.
Experience working in hospital settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or Geriatrics units is advantageous.
Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and provide compassionate care.
Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments like outpatient clinics or medical-surgical units while maintaining attention to detail.
