As a Clinic Nurse, you'll be an essential member of our care team, helping ensure patients receive exceptional care from the moment they call the clinic through their treatment and follow-up. Every day is different, with opportunities to use both your clinical skills and your compassionate approach to patient care.
Your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming and preparing patients for their appointments, including obtaining vital signs and updating health information.

Coordinating patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Scheduling appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.

Managing incoming phone calls and communicating with patients, providers, and other departments.

Preparing patient charts and maintaining accurate medical records.

Assisting providers with procedures and patient care.

Educating patients and families about treatment plans and follow-up care.

Completing prior authorizations and coordinating referrals as needed.

Initiating billing processes and ensuring accurate documentation.

Maintaining clinic supplies and equipment.

Performing nail care services according to physician referral and established protocols.

Participating in quality improvement initiatives and helping identify opportunities to enhance patient care.

Supporting coworkers, students, and new team members through collaboration and education.

Performing other duties that contribute to the success of the clinic and outstanding patient care.

Current LPN or RN license in the state of Iowa

BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Prior clinical or outpatient nursing experience preferred

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ringgold County Hospital
Services provided by our 16-bed critical access hospital have expanded far beyond inpatient care. We now provide same-day outpatient surgeries, infusion therapy, cardiopulmonary rehab, physical therapy, sleep studies, medical imaging, and more.
The hospital also owns and operates the Ringgold County Ambulance Service and the Mount Ayr Medical Clinic. We also regularly host specialty outpatient clinics, so our patients have access to the specialist care they need, when and where they need it. We are continually adding new services and equipment as resources permit, so we can continue to serve as your partner in health.
Mount Ayr Medical Clinic is our rural health clinic located within Ringgold County Hospital. The current facilities were built in 2009 and features modern, large, and spacious. The physicians at Mount Ayr Medical Clinic treat patients of all ages between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The clinic also functions much like an urgent care facility, treating those without life-threatening symptoms but who require immediate medical attention.

Mount Ayr is located near the Iowa - Missouri border and is the county seat of Ringgold County, Iowa. Surrounding communities include Diagonal, Kellerton, Tingley, Ellston, Beaconsfield, Redding, Delphos, Maloy, Sun Valley Lake, and Benton.

In the Mount Ayr area, you can fish, boat, cross-country ski, run trails, and more.
