The Horsham Fire Company #1 is accepting letters of intent for the position of Full-Time Paramedic/Firefighter. Horsham Fire Company #1 is a Combination Department providing EMS, Fire, and Rescue Services in Horsham Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will be expected to provide exceptional Advanced Life Support care in a MICU system, Operate Fire (aerial and pumping) and EMS apparatus, and perform firefighting and rescue duties as needed. Station maintenance, and other daily administrative duties are required to be performed as assigned.
Candidate Requirements include:
Current Pennsylvania Paramedic Certification (3 years of 911 experience)
ACLS/PALS/CPR (current)
Firefighter 1&2 Certification
Pennsylvania Department of Health VRT or Vehicle Machinery Rescue Technician
Hazardous Materials Operations
EVOC (Fire Apparatus experience)
Fire Pump Operations (or equivalent)
National Incident Management Training (IS 100, 200, 700, 800)
Preferred Qualifications and Training:
Technical Rescue Training/Certifications
Pumper/Aerial Driver Operator Certifications
Advanced Pre-Hospital Life Support Training
Starting salary $88,920 based on $38 per hour with built-in overtime. Additional benefits include 24/72 schedule, no cost employee healthcare, vision and dental plans, step-scale paid time-off starting at 240 hours, paid training time. Full-Time employees are eligible for employer funded 403b retirement plan and Employee funded 457 plan.
