NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION (NPI) MANAGER

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Manager leads the planning, coordination, and execution of new product launches and major product changes across Diamond C. This role partners with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and IT to ensure products launch safely, on time, within budget, and are fully prepared for production.
NPI Process & Project Management

Own and continuously improve the NPI process.

Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and launch readiness.

Lead cross-functional meetings, assign action items, track progress, and escalate risks.

Ensure projects meet defined approval gates before advancing.
Cross-Functional Coordination
-
Coordinate Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and IT activities.

Resolve project conflicts, resource constraints, and competing priorities.

Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
Manufacturing & Launch Readiness

Ensure BOMs, routings, drawings, work instructions, tooling, equipment, and production processes are complete.

Coordinate prototype builds, pilot runs, production trials, and employee training.

Support launch execution, production stabilization, and post-launch reviews.
Supply Chain & Quality

Partner with Sourcing and Procurement to ensure supplier readiness and material availability.

Coordinate First Article Inspections, product validation, quality approvals, and corrective actions.

Monitor launch quality, material risks, and inventory transitions.
Systems & Risk Management

Ensure ERP data, item masters, costs, planning parameters, and engineering revisions are accurate.

Maintain project documentation, dashboards, and risk registers.

Develop mitigation and recovery plans while providing executive-level updates.

Required
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, Project Management, or related field.

5+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, supply chain, or new product introduction.

Experience leading cross-functional projects.

Strong project management, ERP, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred
-
Experience in trailer, automotive, heavy equipment, or discrete manufacturing.

PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, APQP, or PPAP experience.

Experience with Epicor, Monday.com, or similar project management systems.
