About the Position
Do you love dogs, social media, photography, video, and telling a good story?
Siskiyou Pet Care and Freedom K9 are looking for a creative, organized, and digitally savvy Digital Content & Marketing Coordinator to help grow and manage our online presence.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys turning everyday moments into engaging content. You’ll have the opportunity to photograph and video dogs, create social media content, manage websites and Google Business Profiles, produce newsletters, support SEO, and help tell the story of two growing local pet-care businesses.
The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, bring fresh ideas to the table, and balance creativity with attention to detail. You should be comfortable working with dogs and in an active pet-care environment—and just as comfortable sitting down at a computer to edit a video, write a blog, update a website, or analyze engagement.
Our goal is simple: every dog. every detail. every time. We want our digital presence to reflect the same level of care we provide our clients and their dogs.

Photography & Video
- Capture photos and video of dogs participating in boarding, daycare, grooming, training, and other activities.
- Plan and coordinate content needs with staff.
- Turn everyday moments at our facility into engaging social media stories.
- Edit photos and videos for social media and YouTube.
- Organize and maintain digital photo and video libraries.
- Help create educational, promotional, behind-the-scenes, and client-focused content.
You don't need to be a professional photographer—but you should have a good eye for composition, lighting, and what makes a photo or video interesting.

What This Job Is Really Like
This is not a sit-at-a-desk-and-schedule-posts-all-day position.
You'll spend some of your time behind a computer and some of your time on-site capturing the dogs, people, services, and moments that make our businesses unique.
One day you might be photographing a grooming transformation, the next creating a training Reel, updating a webpage, writing a newsletter, filming a YouTube video, or developing a campaign for an upcoming event.
We're looking for someone who enjoys that variety.
You should be comfortable getting creative, getting involved, and occasionally getting covered in dog hair!
Work Environment
- Combination of remote and on-site work.
- Regular on-site presence is required for photography, video, and content creation.
- Work takes place in an active pet-care facility and may involve moderate noise from dogs and normal facility activity.
- Occasional local travel may be required for events, training sessions, or community activities.
- Frequent use of computers, smartphones, cameras, and other digital equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to move around an active pet-care facility while capturing photo and video content.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, or movement to capture content.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds of equipment or promotional materials.
- Ability to safely work around dogs of varying sizes and temperaments.
Compensation & Employment
Pay: $20.00 per hour
