MRD Construction is seeking a skilled contract carpenter for multi-faceted commercial construction projects. Get paid to travel the country and add major brands to your resume. This role has the opportunity for growth with superintendent potential.
Typical jobs entail renovations to already built commercial spaces and including demolition work, building temp spaces, and constructing new interior commercial retail spaces based on brand guidelines.
Trade Skills & Experience Required:
- Construction Industry Experience: 5+ years
- General Commercial Construction Experience Including Any Of The Following:
- Demolition
- Framing
- Installation of doors
- Drywall repair, installation, and finishing.
- Flooring and tile installation
- Painting
- Bonus (not required): Can read blueprints and plans

Job responsibilities included but are not limited to:
- Demolition
- Framing such as doorways, installing load bearing beams, removing or building walls.
- Drywall installation
- All levels of trim/millwork installation including pre-finished moldings, crown, base, and doors.
- Installation of all types of cabinetry, cabinet hardware, custom pieces
- Painting
- Floor installation
Compensation:
- Starting at: $xx/weekly
- This is a 1099 position and you are responsible for income tax
- Mileage?
- Lodging and air travel/rental cars (when needed) are booked and paid
- Hours are determined by the project but many jobs do require overnight work (9 PM - 7 AM)
