We’re looking for a Service Advisor who understands the complexities of RV and trailer maintenance, can accurately document service requests, and ensures seamless communication between technicians and customers. The ideal candidate will prioritize customer satisfaction, make intuitive decisions, and excel in a fast-paced service department. If you have fantastic customer service skills, a strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate repairs and maintenance efficiently, we want you on our team!
Job Details:
- Communicate with customers to understand their RV or trailer issues and service needs.
- Write detailed repair orders, describing the vehicle’s condition and required services.
- Estimate costs and time required for repairs or maintenance.
- Schedule appointments for inspections, tests, and repairs.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of work.
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage.
- Recommend additional services or repairs based on customer needs.
- Inspect and test completed repairs to ensure quality.
- Work with insurance companies to provide damage estimates and process approvals.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience in service writing, sales, or customer service.
- Knowledge of RV and trailer systems, including plumbing, electrical, and LP gas.
- Ability to explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner.
- Prior experience in an RV dealership or service department is beneficial but not required.
- This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a keen eye for detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing & Sitting: Alternating between standing and sitting for extended periods.
- Walking & Bending: Moving around the service area, bending to inspect vehicles.
- Hand & Arm Movements: Writing service orders, using a computer, and handling paperwork.
- Lifting & Carrying: Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs, such as parts or tools, using safe lifting techniques.
- Speaking & Hearing: Communicating with customers and technicians in a busy environment.
