(This position is being recruited by SD Mayer on behalf of our client Mosaic Global Transportation. All applications will be reviewed and processed by our team, and qualified candidates will interview directly with the hiring company)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong accounting professional with a solid foundation in transactional accounting, including a deep understanding of debits and credits. This role requires the ability to review financial reports, identify discrepancies, and diagnose and resolve booking errors effectively.

The ideal candidate is highly skilled in building and maintaining schedules for month-end close and supporting ad hoc financial analysis. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

In addition to technical expertise, this individual must be an effective communicator who can clearly and concisely articulate issues, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders, including process owners and senior leadership. The ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights is critical for success in this role.

· Provides knowledge of GAAP (IFRS), financial statement review and analysis; understands and can discuss common financial statement areas including revenue, expenses, assets, liability, and equity and the transactions that can affect each area.

· Expert with QuickBooks Online.

· Calculates KPIs and builds final report for manager review.

· Accurately prepares ad-hoc financial reports and balance sheet schedules.

· Processes and reviews general ledger transactions.

· Displays full proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash reconciliations, collections, and payroll as applicable to the engagement assigned.

· Oversees the completion of the tax workbook; reviews tax return post completion for accuracy and tying retained earnings to the financial system.

· Builds financial reports, including annual financial statements custom to needs per manager specification.

· Manage cash flow models per manager specifications.

Communication — Communicates confidently and persuasively with team members, clients, and contacts; effectively communicates all aspects of work performed to clients, managers, and staff. Facilitates communication within the team and addresses conflicts through effective communication.

Leadership — Takes the initiative to guide, support, and develop staff; begins building influence by showcasing expertise in a specific area. Engages in collaborative decision-making processes and participates in the development of staff.

Operational Excellence & Productivity — Demonstrates consistent ability to bring projects to conclusion effectively and in a timely manner; seeks opportunities to share time-saving efficiencies with others to help improve overall productivity. Identifies engagement issues that cause inefficiencies or risks to engagement quality and effectively works with personnel to effect positive change.

Business Development - Develops knowledge of competitors' positions in the industry and joins external networking groups.

Personal Development & Teamwork — Takes the initiative to build in-depth knowledge of key topics within the industry; proactively seeks work and asks to shadow for job experience.

Work Setting – Indoor office, occasional out-of-office in a variety of indoor and occasional outdoor settings. Position will be onsite for training; approx. 2-3 months and then open to hybrid work model.

Physical Requirements– While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

· Sit for extended periods at a desk or workstation.

· Use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

· Occasionally stand, walk, bend, or lift up to 20 pounds.

Work Attire – Business Casual

Education — Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

Experience — 5–7 years of experience in accounting or a related field. Proficiency in client accounting systems and financial reporting software required. Previous experience working in the transportation field highly preferred.
