Full Job Description

Construction Project Coordinator

Bilt Rite Inc., an established construction company based in Newark, CA, specializes in Commercial TI, Residential additions, and Multi-Family reconstruction projects. We are currently seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Assist Project Manager in the bidding process, including preparing and distributing invitations to bid, managing document distribution and communication with subcontractors, collecting and organizing proposals.
Prepare and distribute all necessary documentation for job start, including project directories, subcontracts, change orders, and purchase orders.
Manage subcontractor submittals, ensuring timely collection and processing.
Process RFIs (Requests for Information) and maintain the RFI log for timely processing.
Distribute plans and updates to subcontractors throughout the course of construction.
Set up and maintain project files.
Oversee project closeout process, including gathering closeout documentation, collecting permits and permit drawings, assembling turnover packages, and submitting them for client approval.
Maintain client, vendor, and subcontractor contacts.
Professionally answer telephone calls, screen and direct them accurately.
Assist in ordering, stocking, and organizing supplies as needed.
Provide project coordination coverage for the team when necessary.

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Qualifications:

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), Dropbox, Google Docs.
Fluent in reading and understanding blueprints.
Fluent in oral and written English communication.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S and able to provide proof.
Prior project coordination experience in the Construction field is essential.
Excellent time-management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Background experience in commercial and residential construction.
Knowledge of residential and commercial finish materials (e.g., kitchen and bathroom finishes).
Resume required.
