Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic chiropractic practice as a Front Desk Receptionist, working on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to create a welcoming and efficient environment for patients and staff alike! This vital role combines exceptional customer service with administrative excellence, ensuring smooth daily operations. You will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, handling medical records, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks. Duties

Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process
Schedule appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth
Manage patient check-out procedures, including payment processing and insurance verification
Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
Assist with medical billing and collection processes, including coding with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding standards
Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing information or directing calls appropriately
Support clinical staff by reviewing documentation, managing medical records, and coordinating care plans

Qualifications

Prior experience working in a medical office or chiropractic clinic strongly preferred
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance procedures, and medical billing/coding practices
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings (English/Spanish or other languages) is a plus
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information
Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and 10-key typing proficiency
Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy front desk environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
