JOB SUMMARY

The Enrollment Advisor plays a critical, strategic role in advancing the university’s enrollment objectives by managing a defined recruitment territory and independently overseeing the admissions process for prospective students. This position requires the use of independent judgment and discretion in evaluating applicants, determining outreach strategies, and shaping recruitment efforts based on institutional priorities. The Enrollment Advisor serves as a key representative of the university and contributes directly to revenue generation, student body composition, and long-term planning efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Independently manage an assigned recruitment territory, including identifying key markets, scheduling travel, and prioritizing outreach based on strategic goals.
Exercise discretion in reviewing and evaluating applications beyond basic criteria, assessing overall fit, and making admission recommendations.
Develop and implement personalized outreach strategies for prospective students based on engagement data, likelihood to enroll, and institutional goals.
Build and maintain relationships with key influencers such as school counselors, and organizational partners to strengthen the university’s brand.
Represent the university at college fairs, high schools, and community-based events, tailoring messaging to specific audiences.
Maintain and regularly update a territory performance plan, including deposit conversion strategies and prospective student pipeline reports.
Collaborate cross-functionally with academic departments, athletics, financial aid, and marketing to resolve applicant concerns and ensure a seamless enrollment experience.
Analyze and interpret application and enrollment data to adjust recruitment efforts and report trends to leadership.
Provide feedback and recommendations for updates to admission and scholarship policies based on observed applicant behavior and market shifts.
Use professional judgment to determine when applicants may be eligible for exceptions or special review, initiating those discussions with appropriate offices.
Maintain accurate documentation in the university’s CRM, using notes and statuses to inform strategy and institutional reporting.
Serve as a thought partner with leadership to improve recruitment, yield, and student satisfaction initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of educational credentials and evaluation standards.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Analytical skills to assess and interpret application materials.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
Understanding of university admissions processes and criteria preferred.
Familiarity with student information systems and database management is preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree Required
One year experience in an office environment
Experience making formal presentations preferred
Experience with admissions software and databases preferred
Sales experience preferred
Experience in admissions, enrollment management, or a related area preferred
