4.0 Movement Studios is seeking a highly skilled and passionate ballet teacher to join our dynamic team. As a ballet teacher, you will be responsible for leading our ballet classes and ensuring the highest standards of instruction and training are maintained. Responsibilities:
Create comprehensive ballet lesson plans that align with our studio's artistic vision and class goals.
Plan and conduct ballet classes for students of all ages and skill levels, ranging from beginners to advanced dancers.
Teach ballet techniques, including proper body alignment, placement, posture, and movement vocabulary.
Provide clear and constructive feedback to students to help them improve their ballet technique, artistry, and performance skills.
Choreograph and stage ballet routines for performances and showcases.
Lead rehearsals and ensure students are well-prepared for performances.
Assess and monitor students' progress regularly and provide individualized attention and guidance as needed.
Collaborate with other dance instructors to integrate ballet training into other dance styles and disciplines.
Stay updated on current trends and developments in ballet education and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies as appropriate.
Nurture a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, discipline, and a love for ballet.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and studio management regarding class schedules, progress reports, and performance details.
Assist in organizing and coordinating studio events, including recitals, workshops, and masterclasses.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and studio promotional activities as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Dance or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent professional experience.
Extensive knowledge and expertise in classical ballet technique, terminology, and repertoire.
Proven experience as a ballet instructor, with a track record of successfully teaching students of varying ages and skill levels.
Strong choreographic and staging skills, with the ability to create engaging and original ballet routines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
Passion for dance education and a commitment to inspiring and motivating students to achieve their goals.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and contribute to the overall success of the studio.
Organizational skills and attention to detail to manage class schedules, performance preparations, and administrative tasks.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
Current knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for injury prevention in ballet training.
Flexibility to work evenings.
