Waldo’s Chicken & Beer is a retro-cool, fast-casual Southern-Fried chicken joint from the team at Fresh Hospitality who brought you Martin’s BBQ, Hugh Baby’s, Taziki’s Mediterranean, and Biscuit Love. We focus on serving the best fried chicken you can find outside your grandma’s kitchen. Waldo’s Chicken rounds out the menu with healthy, fire-roasted chicken, Southern sides, and an exciting beer list and bar program.

WORK CONDITIONS/HOURS

Work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment to include but not limited to: gas fryers, oven, range, slicer, mixer and food processor. Hours will vary and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

Waldo’s Chicken & Beer is looking for motivated prep and line cooks who want to work in the challenging environment of a high-volume, fast-paced scratch kitchen. We make every item on our menu fresh, daily. We take a great amount of pride of serving the best fried chicken in Nashville and want you to be a part of it! KITCHEN LINE COOK RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to work in a VERY fast-paced environment with speed and efficiency
Preparing food in a made from scratch kitchen before and after service periods
Understanding and proper use of recipe and order screens
Cleaning and maintaining kitchen, dish, and prep areas
Shift side work to include opening and closing duties and prep

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

Previous cooking experience preferred
Proper knife skills
Ability to operate all necessary kitchen equipment
Ability to handle multiple orders in a timely manner
Must handle food safely when prepping and cooking
Follow procedures and recipes on food items
Retain menu and product knowledge
Proper personal hygiene
Maintain Health Department Standards throughout shift
Professional attitude and respect of coworkers, establishment, and the brand

Waldo’s Chicken is a fast-casual chicken joint with a full bar program, energetic atmosphere, and beautiful covered patio. We are seeking cashiers, bartenders, food runners and servers. CASHIER/FOH RESPONSIBILITIES:

Smiling and greeting guests when on the service line and throughout the dining area
Full menu knowledge
Thorough understanding of POS system in place and proper cash handling procedures
Quality and accuracy of orders
Delivering food to customers
Ringing in additional food and drink orders from dining area
Cleaning and maintaining the dining area
Follow procedures and recipes on food items

Waldo’s Chicken & Beer is currently seeking an experienced lead line cook or kitchen manager for our new store in Germantown/Nashville. We are looking for an individual that has experience running a kitchen team in a high-volume setting, while demonstrating exemplary work ethic and attention to detail. Duties and responsibilities expected of this position include:

Contribute to Waldo’s best-in-class status
Control timeliness, consistency and quality of customer orders
Maintain exemplary safety and sanitation practices
Manage food waste and cost of goods sold
Inventory restaurant and build order guides and prep sheets
Lead and motivate kitchen staff
Work with brand management on continued staff education and training
Assist in the training and development of kitchen staff
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and inventory areas'
