Job Summary:
Advanced Digital Cable is looking for a Production Supervisor who can balance high-volume production with uncompromised quality. In this role, you aren't just hitting numbers—you are building the team and the processes that keep our facility at the forefront of the wire and cable industry.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Direct all shift operations—from raw copper drawing to final cabling—ensuring we meet 100% of our daily output targets.
- Technical Oversight: Monitor machine efficiency and coordinate with maintenance to keep our "cutting-edge" equipment running at peak performance.
- Data-Driven Reporting: Track and report on key metrics like scrap rates and downtime, using that data to suggest improvements.
- Team Development: Conduct daily "toolbox talks," manage shift schedules, and provide real-time feedback to keep morale and productivity high.
- Standards Compliance: Maintain a floor that is audit-ready at all times, adhering to ISO 9001 and internal safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3–5+ years in wire and cable manufacturing, specifically with extrusion, drawing, or stranding processes.
- Leadership: Minimum of 1–2 years in a supervisory or "Lead" capacity within an industrial environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems and Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, waste reduction).
- Education: High School Diploma required; a degree in Engineering or Industrial Management is a significant plus.
- Skills: Excellent verbal communication, basic computer proficiency for reporting, and a proven ability to make quick, data-driven decisions under pressure.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures.
Schedule:
2nd Shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm, M-F)
