Client Service Representative (Veterinary Receptionist)
Andrews Veterinary Hospital | Andrews, NC
Full-Time | $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, based on experience
Do you love helping people just as much as you love animals? Are you calm under pressure, tech-savvy, and looking for a meaningful career instead of just another job? Andrews Veterinary Hospital is looking for our next Client Service Representative to join our team.
Join a team that's passionate about making a difference.
At Andrews Veterinary Hospital, we believe veterinary medicine is more than a profession. It's a calling.
Every day, we care for beloved family pets, comfort worried owners, help rescue organizations, support foster families, and partner with our local animal shelter to give animals the care and second chances they deserve. We are proud to serve the pets and families of Cherokee County with compassion, integrity, and exceptional medical care.
We're looking for someone who shares that passion.
Our Client Service Representatives are much more than receptionists. They are the first smile our clients see, the reassuring voice they hear during stressful moments, and an essential part of helping our doctors and technicians provide outstanding patient care.
If you're looking for a meaningful career where your work truly matters, we'd love to meet you.
Veterinary experience is preferred, but not required. We are happy to train the right person who has exceptional customer service skills, strong technical aptitude, and a genuine desire to learn.
What you'll do:
No two days are ever the same.
One moment you'll be welcoming a new puppy for its first visit. The next, you'll be helping a worried owner with a sick pet, coordinating an emergency appointment, answering multiple phone lines, responding to emails and text messages, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and communicating with our medical team to keep the hospital running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting clients and their pets with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
- Answering multi-line phones, emails, text messages, and online messages.
- Asking thoughtful questions to gather information so pets are scheduled appropriately and our medical team is prepared.
- Scheduling appointments efficiently while balancing doctor availability, technician schedules, urgent cases, and emergencies.
- Checking patients in and out, processing payments, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Documenting client communications in our electronic medical record system.
- Communicating effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and assistants throughout the day.
- Keeping the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Helping wherever needed because every member of our team contributes to the success of the hospital.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for helping people and animals.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities change throughout the day.
- Remains calm, compassionate, and professional during emergencies and emotionally difficult situations.
- Can confidently multitask while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Learns new technology and software quickly.
- Enjoys solving problems and taking initiative.
- Communicates clearly and professionally in person, over the phone, through email, and via text.
- Is dependable, accountable, and follows through on commitments.
- Takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a supportive team.
- Wants to grow professionally and become an important part of our hospital.
We invest in our team
Veterinary medicine is unique, and becoming an exceptional Client Service Representative takes time, training, and dedication.
We invest months of training and mentorship into every new team member, teaching veterinary terminology, appointment scheduling, client communication, hospital workflows, and the technology we use every day.
Because of that investment, we're looking for someone who wants to build a career with us, not simply find their next job.
We can teach veterinary medicine.
We can't teach kindness, integrity, curiosity, compassion, a strong work ethic, or a positive attitude.
Why Andrews Veterinary Hospital?
We're a locally owned veterinary hospital that believes great medicine starts with great people.
Our team works hard, supports one another, celebrates successes together, and genuinely enjoys helping our patients, clients, and community. We believe in continuous learning, excellent communication, and treating every client and coworker with respect.
If you're looking for a place where you can grow professionally while making a meaningful difference every day, you'll find it here.
