Overview

Position Title: Training & Development Coordinator

Reports To: CRTGA Chairman

Department: CRTGA Administration

Employment Status: Exempt

Salary Grade: $76,790.00 - $92,880.00

POSITION SUMMARY:

The CRTGA Training & Development Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive learning and workforce development programs for the Chicken Ranch Tribal Gaming Agency. This position develops specialized training in Tribal gaming regulation, licensing, compliance, investigations, auditing, surveillance, and Indian Gaming law while fostering strategic partnerships with Tribal colleges, universities, community colleges, professional associations, and Indian Gaming educational programs.

The CRTGA Training & Development Coordinator serves as the Agency's primary coordinator for professional development initiatives designed to build a highly skilled regulatory workforce and establish recognized educational pathways and industry certifications for Tribal gaming regulators. The position ensures CRTGA personnel maintain the knowledge and competencies necessary to fulfill their regulatory responsibilities in accordance with the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) regulations, Chicken Ranch Rancheria Tribal Gaming Ordinance, Tribal State Compact, Chicken Ranch Secretarial Procedures, Chicken Ranch Tribal Internal Control Procedures (CRTICS), and other applicable Tribal laws and regulations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive training and professional development program for CRTGA employees.

· Design and deliver instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning programs specific to Tribal gaming regulation and compliance gaming regulations.

· Develop curriculum and training materials covering areas including licensing, background investigations, regulatory compliance, auditing, surveillance, internal controls, ethics, evidence handling, gaming technology, and Indian Gaming law.

· Collaborate with the CRTGA Commissioners and Agency leadership to identify competency requirements and develop role-specific training pathways and professional certifications.

· Establish and maintain partnerships with Tribal colleges and universities, community colleges, higher education institutions, and professional organizations to develop accredited coursework, internship opportunities, and recognized Indian Gaming educational programs.

· Coordinate with the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC), Tribal gaming organizations, educational institutions, and other Tribal Gaming Agencies to identify and expand professional development opportunities.

· Develop branded educational programs that promote the Chicken Ranch Tribal Gaming Agency as a leader in Tribal gaming regulatory education and workforce development.

· Coordinate the delivery of industry-recognized conferences, workshops, certification programs, and continuing education opportunities hosted by the CRTGA.

· Research emerging trends in Tribal gaming regulation, compliance, gaming technology, and adult education to ensure training programs remain current and relevant.

· Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, assessments, competency evaluations, and performance outcomes, and recommend improvements.

· Maintain training records, certification documentation, continuing education requirements, and related reports.

· Prepare reports and presentations regarding training initiatives, workforce development activities, partnerships, and program outcomes for the CRTGA Commissioners and Tribal Council.

· Represent the CRTGA at educational institutions, professional conferences, career fairs, Tribal events, and industry meetings to promote careers in Tribal gaming regulation.

· Participate in committees, strategic planning initiatives, and special projects as assigned.

· Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or high school equivalency (GED).
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field is preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum of 5 years in employee training and/or instructional design.
10 years of experience within Tribal gaming operations, regulations, and/or gaming related law is preferred.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
Must be able to work any shift and be self-motivated.
Must maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgement at all times.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, learning management systems, and presentation software.
Working knowledge of slot gaming operations and the Indian Gaming Industry preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS (PHYSICAL/SCHEDULE/HOURS):

· Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. May be required to work in the gambling establishment in a non-smoke-free environment.

· May be exposed to loud noises and smoke found in a casino environment.

· Travel throughout the state, and occasionally out of state, may be required to participate in training events and meet with potential educational partners.

· Some holidays, weekends, and extended hours may be required based on business needs.
