The Nurse Director Case Management will oversee the case management and utilization review department within a 107-bed, Joint Commission-accredited facility. It serves as the sole provider of acute care in the County, delivering highly specialized services rarely found in rural community hospitals across the eight-county region. As a strategic leader in care coordination, resource management, discharge planning, and medical necessity review, the Nursing Director Care Management will ensure regulatory compliance, optimize length of stay, strengthen payer communication, and champion patient-centered transitions of care. This role is essential in aligning clinical documentation integrity, utilization management, and interdisciplinary collaboration to drive both quality outcomes and financial stewardship.

Reporting to senior hospital leadership, the Nurse Director Case Management will guide a dedicated team of case managers, utilization review nurses, and interdisciplinary partners including physicians, social workers, therapists, and revenue cycle professionals. This executive nursing leader will mentor frontline staff, develop departmental goals, oversee staffing and budget initiatives, and implement best practices that support throughput and patient flow.
