Full Job Description

Job Summary

Williamsen-Godwin Truck Body Company is a national leader in the manufacturing and installation of truck bodies. We are a stable company which has been in continuous operations since 1892 and can provide a good working environment.

We are looking for an individual who has 1 to 2 years’ experience operating a press brake. Our press brake is a 780 ton brake that is 30-foot long. Materials are handled overhead with crane and the ability to safely use an overhead crane is critical. Applicant must be able to set-up and safely operate a CNC Press Brake machine with basic machine parameters. This includes the ability to operate press brake operating software and menus relating to the press brake. Applicant must pose the ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to use and care for precision measuring equipment and tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other tools and gauges. Knowledge of both metric and inch measuring systems. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram and/or schedule form.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties and responsibilities set-up and operation of CNC Press Brake machine and basic machine parameters. Operate press brake software and menus of the press brake. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach over-head with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and will be exposed to manufacturing environment that at times is loud. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with no issues. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to hear and speak clearly. Employee will also need to be able to operate band saws to cut materials.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience with set-up and operating a press brake. Safely use of an overhead crane. Experience reading, interpret engineering drawings, specifications operating and maintenance instructions, diagrams and oral instructions. Precise measuring with equipment and tools with both metric and inch measuring systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
