Full Job Description

Job Summary:

The Human Resources and Payroll Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day workflows of the HR and payroll functions. This position acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership (including the General Manager and Assistant General Managers) while managing recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, policy development, training, and payroll processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Creates job postings, manages candidate screening and interviews, completes pre-employment screenings, and onboards new hires.

Performs other duties as assigned

General Qualification Requirements

Prior Work Experience: At least two years of previous experience in employee relations, recruiting, and payroll functions

Licenses, Certifications: HR certification strongly preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, IPMA-CP)

Background Knowledge:

Requires knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits
Requires knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, HR modeling, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources
Requires a working knowledge of accounting terminology and procedures, financial reporting, budgeting and audits.

Requires mathematical skills and basic computer systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology

Requires skills in technical communication and analysis of technical data
