Full Job Description

Riverside Pediatrics - located in Murrells Inlet, SC - is in search of an experienced Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.

The ideal candidate for this position has a background in pediatric care. This position requires sense of urgency, ability to work independently with minimal supervision. South Carolina CCMA Certification required. MUST have work experience performing clinical functions such as taking a patient’s history, preparing an examination room, assisting physicians during examinations, preparing and transporting specimens, performing lab tests (Flu, RSV, Strep, Urinalysis, Hemoglobin, and Lead Testing) preparing a patient for an EKG, as well as filing and other administrative functions.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant acts as both an administrator AND healthcare professional, performing clinical duties and administrative tasks in the medical office.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Assists the physician with giving medical care to the patients; vital signs, history, documenting all relevant information and treatment into the patient’s chart.
Preparing and administering medications and immunizations.
Performs lab tests; Flu, RSV, Strep, Urinalysis, Hemoglobin, and Lead testing.
Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner.
Responsible for accurate patient registration and check-in.
Schedules patient appointments.
Performs a variety of clerical functions such as scanning patient information into charts and answering patient phone calls, and collecting patient payments.

Qualifications and Skills

Pediatrics experience preferred, but not required.
1+ years certified CMA work experience.
Training will be at our Georgetown office.

Licensure/Certification:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through an accredited agency required. Must be a South Carolina certification.
