PURPOSE:
The Associate Youth Director/Pastor will be a strategic partner for the Youth Director/Pastor and effectively carry out youth ministry in alignment with the mission, vision and operational values of Centerpoint Church. This position will provide pastoral, managerial and administrative support to the Youth Department. This position will recruit, retain and supervise volunteer teams composed of both students and adults. This position will also coordinate various aspects of the Youth Ministry with various other ministries and departments of Centerpoint Church.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Associate Youth Director/Pastor will report and be accountable to the Youth Director/Pastor. This position will also work closely with volunteers and volunteer teams.

KEY RESULTS OUTCOMES
Create and lead youth experiences in alignment with CP Youth vision
- Preach and teach in Middle School services 75% of Wednesday nights and approximately 25% of Sunday services.
- Help plan and oversee Sunday and Wednesday programming, organizing games, teaching elements, and service experiences.
- Lead games and programming elements during Wednesday services.
- Foster spiritual growth and meaningful connections with students.
Help Oversee Strategic Plan for Discipleship of Students
- Commit to regular one-on-ones with students.
- Create and help plan connection and discipleship opportunities outside of Sunday and Wednesday services for Middle School students.
- Create and lead Bible studies for students while equipping and empowering leaders to lead their own Bible studies, creating a culture of multiplication and ownership.
- Create opportunities for student empowerment and ownership within ministry environments.
- Lead the Middle School Student Leadership Team (LIT Team).
- Build connections with students through fun events and intentional gatherings outside of Sunday and Wednesday services, including small groups, grade-specific events, and whole-grade experiences.
- Oversee the tracking and celebration of salvations, baptisms, and discipleship growth in students.
Help Oversee Strategic Plan for Discipleship of Volunteers / Team Members
- Lead and develop volunteer teams within Middle School ministry.
- Schedule and develop teaching teams for Sundays.
- Develop and train adult and student leaders for the work of ministry.
- Capture student and family information for outreach, follow-up, communication, and engagement.
- Track participation in services, groups, and events.
Help Plan Outreach, Service Opportunities, and Major Ministry Events for CPY
- Help Organize CPY missions, outreach, and service opportunities.
- Plan and help Coordinate with Next Steps & CPGO Departments to plan outreach and service for leaders and students.
- Plan and help execute major youth ministry events including BARF Night, Summer Camp, retreats, outreach events, and other ministry gatherings.
- Connect CPY with local ministries/organizations/programs/schools for service opportunities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree preferred, Graduate degree a plus
3-5 years of ministry experience
Willing to pursue ministry education and ordination as appropriate

Time Expectations (days/hours and times may vary depending on need):
Monday: 9-5:30pm (8 hrs w/30 minute meal period)
Tuesday: 9-5:30 (8 hrs w/30 minute meal period)
Wednesday: 1:00-9:30 (8 hrs w/30 minute meal period)
Thursday 9-5:30pm (8 hrs w/30 minute meal period)
Sunday: 8:30-12:30 (4 hrs)

Working Conditions:

- Some hours are at a desk.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds. (Ramps, amps, tables, etc)
- Certain dates in the year require longer hours of commitments such as Barf all night, conferences, camps, etc.
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
